The triennial world congress of crystallography, bringing together thousands of researchers across all fields of structural science.

The 10th Murnau Conference on Structural Biology brings together established researchers and early-career scientists to discuss current advances in structural biology. The 2026 focus, “(Un)structural biology: in situ, in vitro, in silico,” spans cellular and 4D structural biology as well as emerging areas such as condensate structural biology. The program combines invited lectures, contributed talks, poster sessions and opportunities for scientific exchange in an intentionally focused setting.

BIMOVIS will be represented at the conference by Dr. Florian Schneider, who will present our latest work in a poster session and will be available to discuss our research and capabilities.

Introduction to Cryo-EM — 5-Day Intensive Course

A structured introduction to cryo-EM sample preparation, data collection strategy, and image processing, for beginners.

This five-day course covers the full cryo-EM workflow from sample to structure: vitrification and cryo-specimen preparation, electron optics fundamentals, contrast transfer function theory, particle picking strategies, and 2D/3D classification in RELION and cryoSPARC.

Each day combines a 90-minute live lecture with a self-paced hands-on module using provided datasets. Daily office hours allow direct Q&A with the instructor.

Prerequisites: basic biochemistry background; no prior electron microscopy experience required. Certificate of completion issued. Price: €650 per participant. Group discounts available.
