BIMOVIS is your structural biology partner based in Heidelberg.

We work with companies, research groups and scientific organizations that need molecular insight for complex scientific questions.

Our team combines experimental structural biology, computational structural biology, protein science and molecular visualization. This allows us to support projects from early feasibility questions to structural interpretation and scientific communication.

Structural biology with a collaborative mindset.

Every project starts with a scientific question. Some clients come to us with a defined structural biology challenge, such as determining a protein structure, analysing a complex or validating an AI-generated model. Others want to explore which approach could provide the most useful information.

We take time to understand the molecule, the available data and the decision the information needs to support. Based on this, we help define a practical path through experimental methods, computational analysis, protein science or molecular visualization.

Our work is built on close scientific exchange. We discuss options openly, adapt the approach to the project context and stay close to the question behind the data.

What we support.

Understanding protein structure

We reveal molecular architecture, interaction sites and functional context through experimental structural biology, computational structural biology and integrated structure analysis.

Advancing therapeutic discovery

We generate structure-guided insight for target validation, hit-to-lead, lead optimization, structure-based drug design, protein engineering and mechanism-of-action studies.

Communicating complex science

We translate molecular and structural information into scientific images, molecular animations, virtual reality experiences and 3D molecular models for clear scientific and medical communication.

Navigating multidisciplinary projects

We provide structural biology consulting and scientific guidance from project planning and experimental design to data interpretation, model analysis and molecular visualization.

The way we work.

The way we work is as important as the science we deliver.

Esteem

We value our colleagues, customers and scientific partners, and build collaborations on trust, openness and honest scientific exchange.

Unconventional

Scientific questions rarely have one obvious route. We think across disciplines and look for practical ways to answer complex structural biology questions.

Quality

Quality shapes how we design experiments, analyse structures, interpret models and create molecular visualizations.
